Best Hotel with Harbor Views

One of the nicest hotels around Vancouver due to its location- near Stanley Park, Robson Street and with incredible views of the harbor. Hotel is well-maintained, rooms are clean and good size, beds are ultra-comfortable with their signature "heavenly beds" ads, staff are courteous and there is safe parking garage across the hotel. Highly recommend.

Unique Quality: Both indoor and outdoor pools, gym, georgeous views of the harbor and "heavenly beds". Its location to good restaurants and shopping as well as to Stanley Park is also a plus!!

Westin Bayshore Resort and...

Westin Bayshore Resort and Marina
Published price in the CAD$300 range.

Unique Quality: Experience of a secluded location facing coral harbor, yet only 5 minutes to downtown. The hotel
features a new tower and older wings and most rooms come with a balcony. The only drawbacks would be
the not so frequent seaplanes that roar as they approach the landing strip on the water nearby. On the bright side, an up-close view of these beasts plus you can always shut the windows and sleep in. The room can get a bit pricy in the summer as well.

More about Westin Bayshore Vancouver

Vancouver's Best Hotel

by Cherio about Westin Bayshore

Wonderful hotel with first class facilities. Friendly staff and plenty to do. Hotel has hairdressers, beauty salon, gym and two swimming pools inside and outside. 510 rooms in hotel. Superb location on harbour front with mountain views. Bedrooms have very comfortable "heavenly beds" with cotton sheets, air conditioned, TV and nice bathrooms.

Nice spot, nice food

by aqazi about Carderos

Never really been inspired to visit Carderos. Most people in Vancouver know the restaurant because it has a prime location overlooking the north shore mountains. The restaurant is right by the Westin Bayshore so handy if you're staying here. Food is very much a west coast fare. Planty of seafood and steaks on hand to keep everyone happy. I'd say stick to the seafood if you're coming here as its quite good. Prices are reasonable but its worth the trip if you have an expence account. If not save it for the special occasions.

gorgeous views of the harbor and mountains

by TripAdvisor Member swiggle75

We had a wonderful time at the Westin Bayshore. We stayed in the deluxe room in the tower and had a gorgeous harbor view with mountains in the background. Every room was a corner unit and therefore none of the rooms had a bad views. The room was large and spaceous. The hotel is surrounded by various yummy restaurants you can easily walk to, such as White Spot which is down the street from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directing you to all the favorite hot spots throughout the city. Although this hotel is further from downtown vancouver, the entire city is so small that it was easily walkable. In addition, they have a free shuttle that takes you to and from the main spots. There was only 2 issues with this hotel. The first was the bathroom were a lot smaller than the hotels in the US. The second is that valet/ self parking was both $18 CAD.

Excellent Hotel and Location

by TripAdvisor Member formula_one

As a first time visitor to Vancouver the hotel was easy to find, just off Highway 99, next to the harbour and Stanley park, which can be visited on foot, or cycle, using the excellent waterside path directly from the hotel. Main shopping is about 1km walk - (not far!). Also very handy for Grouse Mountain.
Hotel rooms and facilities were excellent for short or long stay, and price reasonable. Extras can add to the price (underground parking is $18 per night and bottled water in room, $5) but can be avoided - there is a White Spot restaurant 1 block away and a little breakfast cafe 50 metres away on waters edge.

Beautiful Hotel...Small rooms

by TripAdvisor Member TravelingMom

These were your typical rooms...Heavenly Bed NOT so heavenly IMO, but only REAL complaint was the small bathrooms with two teenage daughters. The sink was inside the bathroom with tub, so only one person at a time could use the facilities. Beautiful area, but a walk uphill a couple of blocks to Robson. EVERY Westin employee we dealt with was extremely nice.

Stay at the Westin!

by TripAdvisor Member flydn11

Stayed at the Westin for a first time visit to Vancouver. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. The concierge was very accomodating and when i requested a room with a great view she set it up with no problem. I will be staying at the westin again soon!

Fantastic harbor views

by TripAdvisor Member centralcoastlove

We stayed four nights at about $90 a night (from ----------------) and what a good deal it was. Fantastic views of the harbor. We never tired of watching the seaplanes land right at the hotel. We tried the hotel bar several times for drinks and snacks, which was very nice. Never went to the restaurant, as it seemed overpriced. We tried The White Spot, which was fine, but then we found little cafes and a new waffle place up on Robson for breakfast. Dinner at the Tea House in Stanley Park was wonderful, very good food albeit small portions. The Cafe de Paris was another memorable meal. Ate dim sum at Floata's in Chinatown, where we walked through the garden. Enjoyed the Vancouver Art Gallery very much and had lunch in their cafe. Taking the ferry from Horseshoe Bay was a snap on New Year's Eve day, very well-organized. We parked the car in line then walked to a nearby restaurant for breakfast. The Westin was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Only complaint was a bible convention that filled the lobbies with people sleeping in chairs at all hours. Our room was quiet and very comfortable, and that view can't be beat.

Choice of 2 reserved hotels

by smolakid

Which of these 2 hotels would you prefer for a party
of 4 adults?
1. Marriott Renaissance Harborside 2 rooms w/
balcony views of Burrand Inlet and Canada Place.
2. Choice Hotel 2 bedroom 2bath suite upper floor
w/ balcony, but not on the water.
I need to cancel one before the end of August.
Thanks alot.
I have a more complex question, please see Victoria
forum.

Re: Choice of 2 reserved hotels

by YVRDave

We don't have a Choice hotel in Vancouver.

Re: Choice of 2 reserved hotels

by smolakid

Hey, I'm sorry about missnaming the hotel.
It's the Coast Hotel , not Choice.
Thanks

Re: Re: Choice of 2 reserved hotels

The Coast Stanley Park is a great location. The Marriot is not on the water either.
You can try Delilah's which is famous for the Martini's.
I would suggest The Westin Bayshore if you can make the change. It is the epitome of Vancouver.
The hotel, not the restaurant. When Trader Vic's left, you might as well call Dominos

Re: Re: Choice of 2 reserved hotels

I would say forget the Renaissance unless you want close access to a Casino.

A: "You could try Alegiant Air. They fly out of Bellingham and they are very reasonably priced. I think they fly nonstop to Oakland or San Francisco."
