Old World Charm & Understated Elegance My Foot
Don't let the website fool you. I reserved a deluxe room with two queen beds. Certainly didn't live up to what I saw on their website. Felt extremely cramped and wouldn't have survived another night (stayed 3). Waited forever to check in because the only clerk was on the phone forever. The courtyard view was nice (just kidding). Bathroom was extremely small, cheesy built-in soap/shampoo unit in shower. No fan to exhaust steam. Beds were comfortable. Difficult to control room temperature, cracked windows open at night. Delivery of coffee and tea was a nice touch, but little space to place pots, etc. Plumbing backed up one evening and the only person on duty was the front desk clerk, no maintenance personnel on call. Thankfully, the connecting room was not occupied and we asked the clerk to allow us to use that space for bathroom needs. She readily consented. Plumbing was repaired sometime the next day.
Unique Quality: No pool. Can't believe they would have any great views. Government street location is okay. Parking not convenient.
