Cozy hostel close to downtown
The hostel is wonderful and really tiny. There are a couple of cheap rooms, Internet access, balcony and kitchen

Good guys, iffy hostel
The Turtle Refuge Backpacker's Inn is a cramped hostel in an old house in downtown Victoria. The owner and staff are pretty laid back, probably a little too much so. The rooms are really cramped and the place a wee bit untidy. Little things like grungy bathrooms, dirty dishes and only providing ONE sheet...stuff like that will always cost a place points. Add a crowd of drunk 20-year-olds doings stupid things like setting off pepper spray indoors and my stay was below par.
Unique Quality: Well, it is the cheapest place in town. Too bad you get what you pay for.
