Clearwater Valley Resort.: Camping ground with cabins
This is a Campground which has bungalow (which we stayed in) and a Motel. The Bungalows were basic, but had everything that you needed, including your own shower and toilet. They were situated facing a lake, a really nice spot. Rooms were clean. A restaurant is onsite for meal. Plenty of room for a stroll. Its located 35ksm from the w.g. park on the road that leads to it. It was very reasonably priced.
We were happy with the accommodation.

Trophy Mountain Buffalo Lodge: A quiet country stay
This lodge is located 20km from the Clearwater Tourist Information Centre and very close to the entrance of Wells Grey Provincial Park. It has seven rooms, which have different bed configerations and each uniquely decorated. We found the accomodation to be very comfortable ad clean, and the owners to be helpful and friendly.
As the name suggests, the lodge is located on a buffalo ranch. They have a small restaurant where they serve excellent food, including Bison steaks. It is possible to sit outside by the barbeque or inside the newly built dining area.
There is not much else to do in the evening except sit and eat, drink and chat, which is all part of the 'off the beaten path' experience. They have an album of photos that show the process of building the lodge's various buildings; which, impressively, the owners did themselves!
We enjoyed getting up close to the buffalos - they weren't so impressed!
