A Snow Skiiers Dream

We stayed in a Condo that had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Absoutely beautiful. The Condo was very clean and well maintained. Had a full kitchen with all cooking utensils that you needed.
Unique Quality: When we stood on our balcony we could see the ski lifts and the mountain. The scenairy was breath taking. I have never been to a more beautiful place in my life. Better skiing than anywhere. The drive from VanCouver Airport to Blackcomb/Whistler Canada is wonderful. The mountains on one side of the highway, and the ocean on the other side of the highway.

Ski-In Ski-Out at Whistler/Blackcomb

You can find ski-in ski-out accomodations on Blackcomb Mountain beside the Wizard Express high speed quad .
There are four to choose from :
(1) Marriot Inn , highest up the mountain
(2) then Painted Cliff
(3) then The Woodrun
(4) and The Aspens the lowest
This is the Aspens .
It is an easy walk into the Village or you can take the shuttle bus. Blackcomb Upper Village and Chateau Whistler are a five minute walk .
The Magic Express provides access to Blackcomb . To go to Whistler ski down to
the Magic Chair ( slow) , then down to the Fitzsimmons Express at the base of Whistler and take the upper lift , Garbanzo Express to the top.

I am looking for a luxury Condo in Mid to late December that is true ski-in Ski-out. Will there be enough snow at that time of year to enjoy the mountain? In addition, I have five kids with different ski and snowboarding abilities and want to inquire as to different activities available (including ski/snowboarding) for skiers/snowboarders and off the slopes as well.

I think Snowy Creek would work for you. It is a 5 minute walk to the Village and ski in ski out. They all have hot tubs and large kitckens too.

On Blackcomb which is better as it is a bit higher at the base try Aspens.

A reply to question # 2.
Last year the snow conditions were the worst in recorded history, so Dec 2005 should be OK. Skiing in Dec is chancy anywhere. There will be snow at the top.

Whistler has terrain for everyone. The kids can ski in the upper bowls .Powder snow there can be heavy so small kids can be overwhelmed. There are enough groomed trails however.
Your kids will end up skiing on the Blackcomb terrain park most of the time.
You spend all that money and they ski on 1/2% of the mountain .

For ski in/out places, stick to Blackcomb. The Aspens is a good option. If you want to go higher up on Blackcomb, try the Marriott Residence Inn or The Woodrun. I stayed in all 3 of them before, and either is fine. For activities besides skiing/snowboarding, off the slopes there's always dog sledding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, showshoeing, and Zip Trek.
