Hi There
does anyone know if it's cheaper to buy your lift pass online at the Whistler/Blackcombe website before you travel than buying it in resort?

im told its cheaper on line mate than it is when you get there as there are more taxes to pay once youre in canada. info is from a friend already doing the season there. i was shocked when i saw $820-860 for a 15day pass.....makes my 400euro season pass frm austria look a huge bargain but then i guess its also worth looking at the snow in canada compared to the snwo in europe....sometimes you gotta pay more to play more! :-)

How long are you staying? If you are only staying a week, you can get the cheapest tickets at the 7/11 store in Squamish BC. Halfway to Whistler. Turn in at the gas station, where the McDonald's is and buy cheaper discount tickets in the 7/11 at the gas station.Mind you you would have to be in a car to do this. The bus does not stop here.
the hills are alive! beautiful senery.
when you are going down hill, make sure you know where you are going! on my way down, i got lost, and ended up walking 30 min back to my starting pt... bring your own equip ment, the rental isnot very bad, but you save money if you have your own.
There are a number of easy hiking options on Whistler Mountain in the summer.
You will notice that summer on July 14 has not arrived in Whistler.
There is still lots of snow at the top of the mountain .
The Whistler Village Park is really lovely. I followed the pathway, which took me alongside beautiful water features, and nice sculptures. Lovely views of the small waterfalls, and the gardens were viewed from the bridges.
At Rebagliati Park, there is a covered bridge located over Fitzsimmons Creek.
This park is lawned and has picnic tables.
All of this is located in the main part of Whistler Town, I thought it was very nice!
The drive from Vancouver to Whistler is so scenic. It truly is Beautiful British Columbia.
Once there we spent the weekend exploring everything that the village had to offer.
First walking about in the quaint Whistler Village. A stop in the English boutique "Lush" for natural soaps is a must for all women.
Be sure to take the gondola to the top of Whistler Mountain even if you don't ski.
At night, take the Sleighride/Fondue dinner tour. It is a wonderfully romantic way to see the lights of Whistler at night.
On your way back to Vancouver, stop at Squamish. This is one of the few places in North America to see Bald Eagles in their own habitat. An awesome sight having never seen one in person.
the town is very well built. a xxllent place for winter sports, and for americans it is cheaper to travel, cuz not only they can get their sales tax back, but also they get a cheap deal since the currency rate.
the secenry of the mountain is absolutely beautiful, the best de-stressor out there...highly recommended
