Walking Tour
by btex
After searching for bears on the Rainbow Lake Trail, I decided to see the Whistler area via the Valley Trail. It's a trail that extends form Alpha Lake through Whistler Village...past Lost Lake...touches Green Lake...and encircles Whistler Golf Course. I walked most of it in one afternoon. The Lost Lake area was the most scenic...the lake is nice...there's area for picnics and other lake activities. Whistler Village has a bunch of shops, restaurants...and lots of people...so I didn't stay there too long. Float Planes that gives tours of the area can be found on Green Lake...there's also a ghost town near Green Lake, but I didn't get to see it. Anyway...if you're looking to see more than ski runs in Whistler, Valley Trail is definitely an option.
For Great Steak
by duanestorey about The Keg
Well, maybe not great steak, but I've never been disappointed at the Keg. I spent New Year's eve at this Keg two years in a row, and it's been a blast each time. I always order the Teriyaki Sirloin Classic. Very tasty.

i came to this town with a friend of mine. all we did was SNOWBOaRDIng, althought i am not very good at it. i went there Feb this year, and the weather was kinda warm, so the bunny hills were practically melting away, but the black/blue ones were well maintained.
when you are on the top of the hill, the scenery really really nice, and dip yourself in the out door jacuzzi and enjoy the scenery is amazing.
Have a icecream!

Cow's ice cream, Rogers' Chocolates, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and The Great Glass Elevator Candy Shop provide a day of indulgences. Watch chocolate making, sample new flavours, and try candy imported from the UK. Yum!
Whistler For Beginners

"Winter - Skiing"
Skiing at Whistler for someone who has never been there before is the most frightening experience ever. As you go up in the gondola, you see all these people skiing down the mountain and you think that is the only way to get back. You can relax though, this is not the case. There is a nice beginners area at the first stop and you can easily eavesdrop on those who can afford skiing lessons. I would suggest trying out your 'snow legs' on the smaller slopes before heading up to Platter or Olympic.
"Summer - sightseeing"
You can tell it's a skiing town in the winter but it is still a great place to visit with beautiful scenery and a nice feel about the architecture. See if you can find the wooden children's climbing-play thing (jungle gym?) It's spectacular. I think it's behind "The Grocery Store" somewhere, look around.
I'll be putting up some photos soon
