It depends upon the time of year - during winter, obviously, winter clothing is necessary. I was there in May and wasn't skiing, so I didn't need heavy jackets. It did rain alot, so a raincoat was needed. Hiking shoes helped with all the walking that I did. In Vancouver, I had heard that there weren't many grocery stores in Whistler or that they were pretty expensive...so I brought food with me from Vancouver...canned goods, bread, etc.... Which was a good thing because I was staying at the HI hostel and the nearest place to get food was a bus ride or long walk into town.

Perfectly located smack in the middle of the Blackcomb and Whistler gondolas. Convenient and fast for the mid-day lunch break. Indoor and outseating (to watch all the skiers come off the mountain). Everything you'd want in a pub - TVs, pool tables, video games, dart boards, friendly staff. The food is only average, but the ambience is laid back and comfortable.

Strolling the village

After a long day of riding, you may not want to go for a stroll, but maybe on one of your off days from riding, you will want to take a walk through the village. Many quaint shops and nice little cafe's and restaurants to please everyone's fancy. Great for people watching too.

Ski the best station in the world

"I was there in the beginning of mars 2008"

Snow, Snow and more snow. The skier over there are not realy skiing for do the ski. For them is a outdoor activity. The station are so big, wide and fun. I pass the 5 best day in my life. Me and my wife want to be there each year if is possible. Close to Vancouver (fabulous panorama) we visit this city before to get our plane. I recommand this ski station any time.

Whistler is one of my biggest dream of all of time, the dream of every snowboarder or skiier addicted!
Its the mountain to ride once in your life! I'm planning to go living for the snowboard at Whistler! It's a dream for me, if its yours too plz let me know it! Cause i wanna go damn bad there!
