The company had pre-booked eight of the 131 rooms in the Victoria Inn for a week, with other members of the team staying at either the Royal Oak or Day's Inn motels. My second floor non-smoking room was quite comfortable with its Queen-size bed, mini-refrigerator, a large desk with wireless internet for my laptop and a large TV screen (I never turned it on during the whole week to see if it worked!). The rate charged to the company was $70/night but that may have been due to a bulk discount.
Unique Quality: They motel will provide you with necessities such as toothpaste, a toothbrush, razors or a comb if you forgot to bring your own. Free DVD movies were available for the in-room DVD player and an ironing board and iron were also located in each room.
In addition, a free hot breakfast comes as part of your room rate. In our case, we were up so early that the kitchen was not yet open, but, if we let the front desk know the previous evening, they provided us with a bagged breakfast of apple/orange, muffin of some sort, bottle of water/juice and a granola snack bar that we could grab off the counter as we headed out to the work site.
In the evenings, we were usually too tired to think about wandering around town so tended to have a nice evening meal and a couple of beers in their restaurant/pub area - the '34th Street Bar & Grill'.
