Portage
My husband has lots of family in Winnipeg and Portage La Prairie, and he briefly lived there for two years during high school. I've been there in passing a few times over the past several years, but never for any significant amount of time. Before April 2010, the longest I had ever spent there was probably half an hour. We went this last time for my father-in-law's retirement party for two nights, a Friday and Saturday. We were very busy with family events and going back and forth to Winnipeg. There isn't a lot to do there, and we probably did most of it in the time we were there.
