Super 8 Winnipeg
I always stay at the Super 8 in Winnipeg ever since I had the first opportunity to stay there. I find that it is always clean. The staff are always helpfull and best of all I have yet to have a poor nights rest there. It has been wonderful to stay at a hotel that is very quiet. It was even quiet when there were a troop of girls aged 10 to 14 staying there! I would recomend this hotel to families as well as singles wanting a nice place to stay. The atmosphere in the quick stark breakfast room is quite homey and comfortable. I have yet to be disappointed with anything.
Unique Quality: The pool area is alway clean and well cared for. The only problem with the pool area is a over use of pool chemicals at times that seem to bother some patrons eyes, mine included. I like the fact that there are computers in each room as if you're not a business traveler you seldom have a computer with you and having one in the room is a nice convenience.

The only Winnipeg hotel we've stayed in
We were forced out of our house while our floors were being refinished. We had to pick a motel to stay in. Super 8 is a fairly new hotel on Pembina Highway, so that is where we stayed - for 9 days it turned out.
Unique Quality: The hotel had some great amenities. Pool with a water sklide, hot tub, a computer in the room, breakfast included, right on the main drag, even an interesting view out the back of the hotel (the parking lot and the Red River).
The price below says price per person, but in Winnipeg it is price per room. The price for a two-bed room was approximately $60-80 Cdn per night - $80 for the room with a sitting room and $60 for the plain room.
