on August 16, 2005This building was formerly a Ramada Inn, and had stood vacant for some time. Canad Inns took it over and seem to be making a go of it. The rooms are all inside access which is a plus in the Winnipeg winters. However in summer it sometimes feels like living in a cave.
The staff was very friendly. Rooms were very clean, and service was prompt.
This is a hotel complex that houses the hotel, probably about 200 rooms, a casino with video slot and poker machines, a large dinner theatre, a full service restaurant and a large pub. There is also a large water slide pool called "Splash." for the kids. Dogs weren't allowed there, although that would have been cool.
There are also many restaurants and mall stores within easy walking or driving distance. Access to the airport is easy by going west and then north on Bishop Grandin Blvd (15 minutes in good traffic.)
There is also a Canad Inn Express next door for the budget traveler
