Traveller's RV Resort and Campground: Camping Capers
Traveller's has to be the one of the crappiest places I've camped at. It seems nice at first; there's a game room, pool, mini golf course, and it's right next to Fun Mountain Water Park and Tinkertown. The bathrooms were the turn off! First of all, the water smells like rotting egg, and tastes worse. The showers don't spray, they trickle and dribble, and you come out smelling like a two week old omlette! My group also got yelled at quite a bit for driving up and down the gravel "streets" and kicking up dust. The pool is about 2-3 feet deep, and the mini golf course is falling apart completely! If Winnipeg wasn't so fun at night, I would have been miserable the entire trip!

Since Winnipeg is my home, I don't use hotels here
I prefer my house - has king side bed, large rooms, music in every room - now if I can only find a maid to make the bed and clean the toilets!!!

If you love to shop shop shop,...
If you love to shop shop shop, then it might be a good idea to lodge around Polo Park. A new Canadinn (with waterslides!) has just been built, and a fancy Clarion hotel is just being finished, along with a new Earls restaurant next door to it.

If you need to lodge in...
If you need to lodge in Winnipeg, do NOT, and I repeat, do NOT stay at any small hotel around Main Street and Higgins Avenue. Most of these places are habituated by drug dealers, prison escapees, prostitutes, and who knows what else! If in doubt, go for the chain hotel.

I live here, so my home is of course my first choice. For the traveller there are a few options. There are hotels by the airport, downtown, and the suburbs. Mostly they are aprox $45 CDN and up. The choice would likely be made on location, dependant on what you intend to do etc.

There are many different...
There are many different hotels and motels to stay in but the hotel I like best is the Travel Lodge. It's clean affordable and near the business distict of town. But there is more than one Tarvel Lodge in the city.
If I remember properly it is 50$ canadian for one night four people.
