An accommodation for the very budget minded.

It is located at the west end of Fredericton, on the south side of the St. John River, about 1/2 km from the Coastal Inn Silverwood.

34 units, kitchenettes, family units. Their office also has a small convenience store.

2007 update: if you're thinking of staying here, you may want to call first. I hear the owner is planning on demolishing some or all of the units.

Unique Quality: Cable TV. Close to the Bucket Club Activity Park, where there's a driving range, outdoor mini golf, and outdoor water slides.

Detailed directions:

If you're going eastbound on the Trans-Canada Hwy (Hwy 2), take exit 258 to Route 102 towards Mactaquac. Stay on Rte 102.
Rte. 102 becomes Woodstock Rd. as you enter the Fredericton city limits. Watch for the Roadside Motel on your left. The area is known as Silverwood.

If you're going westbound on the Trans-Canada Hwy (Hwy 2), take the exit to Fredericton via Hwy 7. Next, take the exit to Edmundston via Hwy 8, and get off Hwy 8 at Hanwell Rd. (exit 3). At the Stop sign, turn left onto the Prospect St. extension. At the bottom of hill the road becomes Woodstock Rd. Watch for the Roadside Motel in Silverwood (still in the Fredericton city limits), on your right.
