Travel Tips for Moncton
I think the place i would...
by LeighAnne
I think the place i would recommend the most is Shediac which is 20 minutes from here and is a beautiful sea side town. The beach is all white sand right on the ocean - spend the day at the beach... go into town on main street and eat a lobster and then off to one of the 2 drive'ins left in new brunswick for a double movie. Well I live here so the only real thing I miss when I'm away from here is my friends.

Beer and Cigarettes Your most stretched out wife beater, a pair of flip flops and ripped jeans, if travelling in the winter time then bring the same as above but add on eskimo boots and your Toronto Maple Leafs Parka. Moncton is known for having intense snow storms. Maybe a pint of whiskey to keep you warm in the winter. If you plan on doing some mullet watching then i would suggest bringing atleast 8 rolls of film.
Moncton

Located on the banks of the Petitcodiac River, Moncton was once an early Acadian settlement known as Le Coude.
Moncton was officially founded in 1766 with the arrival of Pennsylvania Dutch immigrants from Philadelphia. Moncton is one of my favorite cities in Atlantic Canada. It has a large Acadian population which makes it unique and gives its visit a chance to enjoy true Acadian hospitality . I lived here for about four years in the late 1970's . In fact my daughter was born here.
Moncton usually has dependable warm summers and lots of snow in the winter . We love to visit Moncton to go shopping and to enjoy the restaurants.

Although Moncton's only a couple hours away, I'd never really been there. I was pleasantly suprised by how much I liked the city and surrounding areas. I stayed in Shediac which is a very pretty seaside town about 15 minutes away; info on it can be found on my Shediac page.
