Nice budget accommodation in Saint John
As my sister was arriving a day early in Saint John and didn't want to pay for an extra night at the Hilton, she asked me to look for a decent place to stay that wouldn't be too expensive. After doing some research, I ended up recommending the Colonial Inn, and it looks like I did some pretty good research! Of course, it's a budget motel, so you can't expect too much luxury - although they've put up some pretty good pictures on the Website, the rooms are all slightly outdated (think 80s style). However, they are big, clean and comfortable, and service is great: when my sister showed up at the front desk on the first night to say there would be five people in the room instead of four, they immediately switched her to a suite that had two double beds and a hide-a-bed at no extra cost. There is also a restaurant open 24h where you can get a good meal at a very decent price, and the location is not bad at all: it takes about 5 minutes to drive to the harbour.
