I remember my stay at the Amaguk Inn was very good and the food was very good as well.

4 efficiency units with a double bed, electric range, refrigerator, and dining area in each room.

1 handicapped room with a double bed, desk and chair, cable, colour TV, fully wheelchair accessible.

1 single regular room with a double bed with a desk and chair, cable, colour TV.

Fully licensed dining room and lounge/bar.

Enjoy your stay at the Amaguk in Hopedale on Labrador's north coast!!!!

Alexis Hotel: Newly Renovated Port Hope Simpson Hotel

by jamiesno

In Port Hope Simpson, Labrador I had the pleasure of staying at the Alexis Hotel on a couple of occassions.

The hotel is centrally located on the southeast coast of Labrador and the rooms are comfortable.

The hotel got a major face lift in 2003 with new rooms and dining area. Several of the rooms have amazing views of the area so ask about them when you make your booking.

Great restaurant view of the Alexis River and Port Hope Simpson harbour.

Oceanview Resort: Oceanview Resort in Labrador Straits

by jamiesno

In the Labrador Straits region you will also find the Oceanview Resort. This resort has a nice restaurant, is very close to a provincial park and is recently renovated with some of Labrador's best rooms.

You will have a comfortable stay here. I provided a web site and telephone number for this location.

Northern Light Inn: Northern Light Inn in the Labrador Straits

by jamiesno

In the Labrador Straits region you will find the Northern Light Inn. It is one of Labrador's larger hotels with very clean rooms, a bar, great restaurant and in the tourist season a regular dinner theatre which makes for some great local entertainment. This is unique to this hotel and very entertaining.

I saw the dinner theatre on a couple of occassions now and it was great each time!

Atsanik Lodge: Labrador's Most Northerly Accomodations!

by jamiesno

My stays at the Atsanik Lodge in Nain, Labrador have always been a bit of an adventure but I am encouraging you to have fun and relax. Go with the flo and adjust to northern service and hospitality.

The local lady "Sarah" is very well known and infamous for her customer service. The bar attached to the hotel is also a popular spot in Nain for a cold beer. It is smokey in there but you'll survive.

The hotel is also a great place to get a deal on a local Inuit carving. The carvers or their family will drop in on a regular basis and offer their carvings for sale.

Adlavik Inn: Adlavik Inn in Makkovik, Labrador

by jamiesno

I didn't have a picture of the Adlavik Inn but rather than leave the photo blank I thought I would provide this nice picture of the local church in Makkovik.

The Adlavik Inn is the main hotel in the community and you will be well taken care of here.

The hotel owners also operate tours of northern region. If you want to observe seals in the natural habitate or get an upclose and personal view of an iceberg or explore the interior of Labrador on a snowmobile they will be happy to help you and I am sure you won't be disappointed!!

They also have a web site with more information.

River Lodge Hotel: River Lodge Hotel in Mary's Harbour, Labrador

by jamiesno

The River Lodge Hotel is the place to stay in Mary's Harbour if you are not blessed with family in the community. There is meeting room space, a gift shop, newly renovated guest rooms, a restaurant and Old Pete's pub.

The view from the restaurant overlooks the local river.

Fermont Hotel: The only one in Fermont

by Simonneeddy

60 rooms available.
Very big and 2 queen size beds, large bath room and clothes rack area. Big windows.

Great view

Snuggle In B&B: St. Anthony B&B

by chinagirl

Very cozy and nice B&B. The thing that makes it unique is the owner, Sandra, who is the friendliest person you'll find in Newfoundland (although she's not originally from NF herself :-)

Tip Photo
Knock On Wood B&B: B&B in St John's

by chinagirl

Beautifully decorated rooms, a great hostess (Roma Edwards) and a very good breakfast.

Very near Water St, close to the centre, and with two good restaurants close by: the Crooked Crab and Zachary's
