Not far from the city of Halifax ( about and hour) is beautiful Chester. Founded in 1759, Chester is a beautiful cozy ocean side village of about 1200 people. It is a tourist destination with many large summer homes. The population almost doubles during the summer months but even so , it has managed to maintain all its charm.The town is a mecca for yachting enthusiasts during the summer months.
