So good we've been there twice.

We have been to N.S. twice and stayed at The Harbourview on both visits. The first time round we were made to feel so welcome and enjoyed our stay so much that we made a point of going back on our second visit. The owners are so friendly and welcoming that we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else if we are ever fortunate enough to be back in the same area. We even chose to stay in the same room. All rooms are spotlessly clean, breakfast is good with enough variety to please everyone.

There is a swimming pool for residents use, if you have the time. We got into the habit of returning to base late afternoon for a beer in the garden before getting ready for an outing for dinner. If going to Annopolis Royal I can reccomend The Garrison House Inn for a fantastic meal.

Unique Quality: The Harbourview Inn is in a very quiet rural setting and you would need a car to get out and about as there are no restaurants within easy walking distance. A small price to pay for the peace and tranquility. I started the day by going for an early morning walk before breakfast and would either go down to the watersedge or along the disused railway tracks along to the bridge over the river, back for a shower and then breakfast tastes so good.

To drive into Digby takes about 10 minutes and gives you a choice of numerous restaurants or heading east brings you to Annopolis Royal. Kejimkujic National Park takes about 30 - 40 minutes and is not to be missed.

On our first visit we went for a whale watching package which was fab. We had 2 nights accommodation + a visit to Long Island for whale watching on a high speed zodiac which was a memorable trip.
