Describe my stay...a nightmare from start to finish: The reservation was made directly with front desk by phone one month in advance, yet it was nowhere to be found upon arrival and confirmation number was useless. Staff was unfriendly and poorly trained. Rates were very high. Room was poorly cleaned and noisy. Breakfast was a joke. Could not pay me to stay there again.
Unique Quality: incompetent, disinterested staff
a strange lingering smell in the room
The Hotel itself is nice, and it is well located near the dowtown of Halifax. The hotel rooms are clean and offer a comfortable bed. I was sick when last in Halifiax so that was important to me, and sure enough I was able to get a good nigths sleep.
The hotel is on Robson street, so you have easy access to downtown and to the near by University without having to take the car.
While I found the prices to be expensive, it wasn't that bad of a hotel .My only peave was the elevators - how is that every hotel seems to have problems with elevators? :)
Unique Quality: Location close to downtown.
