Water Street Lighthouse B&B: Best breakfast in Shelburne

Shelburne is a pretty little historic town and a wonderful destination at any time of year but we especially enjoyed our fall visit this year.
The "Lighthouse" owners are friendly and eager to please. They have roots in NS and have taken over the former 'Bear's Den B&B'.
We walked the waterfront streets and boardwalks and explored some of the shops along the way.

Unique Quality: Central location, easy to find. Clean and comfortable rooms. Reasonable rates.
Great Breakfast!
A short walk to the waterfront.
Several restaurants nearby.

Visit Mary Lou at Studio 14 where she carries on the centuries old tradition of painting Canvas Floorcloths. You can also stay at Above Studio 14, a beautiful and private 2 bedroom house keeping accommodation in their 200+ year old home. Al will take you on a two hour escorted tour of the Historic District, which has the largest concentration of pre 1800 wooden structures in Canada and perhaps North America.

The Bear's Den Bed and Breakfest: the comforts of Urban and rural combined

The Bear's Den Bed & Breakfast (est. 1987) has been in continual operation for 13 years. The owner is a Nova Scotia native who resided in Reno Nevada and Sacramento California for 25 years before returning home. B&B seemed a natural thing to do after years of entertaining visitors, especially in Reno.
