I provided another tip on the Delta hotel. One of the unique qualities I mentioned was the great views from the rooms.
So I posted up this picture to give you an idea.
Be sure to rate my tips and leave your comments!!
I stayed at the Delta for about 4 nights, the rooms where clean, don't get a smoking room though!! The staff were friendly.
There is free high speed wireless Internet and dialup. If your computer doesn't have wireless there is a bridge you can get at the front desk to help you out.
The food at the Delta was great as well.
I had a seafood omelette one morning and a seafood eggs benedict another and they were both great. The potatos where were good too.
You will notice from the arcitecture of the building all the rooms have a great view of the Sydney harbour, right outside of the hotel you can go to downtown eateries, bars or walks on the waterfront boardwalk.
I would stay here again for sure.
Unique Quality: Great view, great pub and location.
More about Delta Sydney
Crown and Moose
The Crown and Moose is a nice little pub located right within the Delta Sydney hotel.
In the night times there would be good music and live bands on a couple of occassions. There was certainly no shortage of live music in Sydney during my visit.
For lunch they also had an excellent buffett. For $7 or $8 it was all you could eat Salad and Soup and your choice of 7 or so great sandwhiches which they made in the kitchen.
Great place to hang out with some friends in the hotel.
Smooth Herman's (WORST) -- A large, extremely noisy night club that caters to the 19-24 year-old crowd. Friday and Saturday nights are the worst, unless you like pushing your way through a throng of drunk 19-24 year-olds. S.H. usually has live entertainment on Saturday night, usually a local rock- or cover band that is mediocre at best. Don't forget your earplugs.
Crown and Moose Pub (BEST) -- located in the Delta Sydney. Caters to the 30-50 year-old crowd. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The best place to go for a pint and a quiet chat. None of the Sydney bars or pubs have a dress code as such. If you're wearing a pair of shorts, a t-shirt and a pair of sneakers you will gain entry into any of the local establishments.
