Crown and Moose
by jamiesno about Crown and Moose
The Crown and Moose is a nice little pub located right within the Delta Sydney hotel.
In the night times there would be good music and live bands on a couple of occassions. There was certainly no shortage of live music in Sydney during my visit.
For lunch they also had an excellent buffett. For $7 or $8 it was all you could eat Salad and Soup and your choice of 7 or so great sandwhiches which they made in the kitchen.
Great place to hang out with some friends in the hotel.
Nightclubs
by JohnnieZee about best and worst
Smooth Herman's (WORST) -- A large, extremely noisy night club that caters to the 19-24 year-old crowd. Friday and Saturday nights are the worst, unless you like pushing your way through a throng of drunk 19-24 year-olds. S.H. usually has live entertainment on Saturday night, usually a local rock- or cover band that is mediocre at best. Don't forget your earplugs.
Crown and Moose Pub (BEST) -- located in the Delta Sydney. Caters to the 30-50 year-old crowd. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The best place to go for a pint and a quiet chat. None of the Sydney bars or pubs have a dress code as such. If you're wearing a pair of shorts, a t-shirt and a pair of sneakers you will gain entry into any of the local establishments.
