I agree with most of the reviewers that have posted indicating this hotel is rather dated and was at one time probably a very nice hotel. That being said, during our stay this hotel was not the hotel hell some posters have indicated. The rooms were decently clean, the hotel was safe, comfortable and although old, I felt that it was worth the price paid. In the case of the Royal Brock, you get what you pay for and not much else.
Unique Quality: Nice pool, easy 401 access.
This is not only the worst Quality Inn I have ever stayed at but the worst hotel in Canada.
The beds were worn out. We found cockroaches in the sink.
We could not get the heat on and the front desk said there was nothing they could do since they were still set to have only air conditioning in the room. In other words there was no way we could get warm. It was near freezing outside. They refused to offer our money back.
To top it all off their rates are about the highest in the city.
Unique Quality: Everything was horrible. Definately not worthy of even 1 star.
Uncomfortable warn out beds.
Only one person working in the whole hotel.
We heard later the manager was not well liked in the community
