If you come to Kingston in the summer, you should be sure to visit Fort Henry. You'll want to find out when they are doing their annual show with a visiting US marine unit. Fort Henry is a stone fort left over from the 1800's -- take the tour. One of the best things about Kingston is the large number of outdoor patios. During the summer there is nothing better than enjoying lunch or perhaps a few beer while all the busy people are walking by.

Kingston is a beautifull and very active port for tourists. Americans cross Lake ontario to enjoy this beautifull city. Also in this area (the marina is on Ontario) is where all the festivals and fun happen during the summer.
The Toucan!
by Deus_ultima about The Toucan!
The Toucan is a great Irish pub in Kingston and offers a bit of everything for everyone!
First, the bartender knows how to pour a Guiness.
Also, the atmosphere is really nice. On the top floors, you can relax, eat and chat without being overcomed by noise. But in the basement, they have live music, dart boards and it's more of a bar compared to upstrairs wich is more a restaurant.
Also, the men's bathrooms are covered with funny newpaper clips..just thought it was cool.
:) Well..Guiness of course!
Bellevue House National Historic Site

Bellevue House was once the home of Sir John A. Macdonald, Canada's first Prime Minister. Restored to the 1840's period, and staffed by costumed interpreters, the house and gardens are kept much as they would have been during the time that Macdonald lived here with his wife and infant son.
