It has character

A number of years ago my ex & I met up with my cousin & her husband in Kingston, because it was about half way between Toronto & Ottawa.... for New Year's Eve. The bigger, fancier places were a little more than we wanted to pay, and well they were sold out too. This was the only one that sounded like it had, uh, character... and vacancy.
It is an old inn... very pretty from the outside... the local stone. Our rooms, were small, but complete with private bathrooms, so that was ok. We had brought some refreshments to enjoy before dinner. Enjoyed them... while watching a Mr Bean telethon - and while enjoying some refreshments! We had a great dinner downstairs in their diningroom, had a short walk ... then went back upstairs. Mr Bean was still on TV... so we watched him some more, and then saw the New Year's come in on TV. We were talking until we became aware of some squeaking noises, and uh well some moans & groans! Laughing hysterically, my cousin & her husband left, wished us a Happy New Years... and good luck sleeping! ... and went down the hall. Well... lets just say the outside walls were much thicker than the walls between the rooms.
It was a memorable New Year's Eve - one that stuck in the memory.
Would I recommend the hotel to anyone - only if you have a sense of humour. It did have some charm, but for the same price, you could get a little more comfort (and thicker walls). Their dining room was excellent - and that I would highly recommend.

Unique Quality: It is old - downtown... not sure what else I can say!
