London has lots of beautiful parks! When i was a kid, i used to love Springbank Park/Storybook Gardens, Victoria Park (i think there is still that tank i used to climb on... hehe) and Labatt Park! U can easily walk for hours from one park to another, it is sooo relaxing... even today when i come to London, i HAVE to walk at least once from one end of Springbank Park to the other! It became a tradition...
London´s parks host a lot of events as well, can´t really remember all, but i know there were always concerts and the balloon festival in Labatt Park, and markets on weekends in Victoria Park.
Victoria Park is downtown, corner of Richmond and Queen St. if i remember correctly...
Springbank Park can be accessed by car via Springbank Drive or u can walk from one end (Wonderland Road/Springbank Drive) to the other end (Commissioners Road/Springbank Drive)

London Country Jam - great music

Not just where to put this ... it happens over a whole weekend, and during the day not just the night so not a Nightlife tip... so here we go in here.
I've only been to the first of the London Country Jam weekends, but there has been at least one other one... and likely another this year too.
The Country Jam is sponsored by the local country music station and showcases mostly Canadian country musicians, and earlier each day, some local talent. It's a reasonable entrance fare for a couple of days of good acts.
Held downtown in one of the parking lots - think this past year it was the parking lot of the John Labatt Centre.

The food is great here but it's the dessert counter that I really went for. I would sometimes just go and order dessert and take it with me. There's every kind of dessert imagineable. We used to buy birthday cakes here, though they're on the expensive side. But really worth it!

London Airshow

Aircraft from around the world descend on London every June for a great airshow. You can walk around and inspect the planes, even get in them, and talk to the flight crews. I used to love going to this airshow.

London is the urban heart of Southwestern Ontario and is located at the junction of Highway # 2 and Highway # 4 and is just 200 km ( 120 miles ) southwest of Toronto and 200 km ( 120 miles ) northeast of Windsor.
It was founded in 1792 by Colonel John Graves Simcoe, who intended to have London as the capital of Upper Canada, but those dreams did not come to fruition.
