DOORS OPEN LONDON - IDLEWYLD INN
by LoriPori
Also located on Grand Avenue, is the IDLEWYLD INN which was once one of London's premier private residences, reflecting the wealth of the prosperous Victorians who built it. Their elegant dining room harkens back to a time when Idlewyld Mansion was the centrepiece of London's nineteenth century social life.
MINI-MEET IN LONDON, ONTARIO
by LoriPori
September 21, 2008
When Fred (Redlats) mentioned to Hans and I that he and his lovely wife Sandy, were coming to visit their son in London, Ontario, wheels were set in motion for a little VT Meet there. Hans and I drove up from Windsor, which is about an hour and a half drive. Jane (CDNJane), Stephanie ( MissAntarctica2002) and Laura (Hayward68) drove down from Toronto. We all met at Crabby Joe's Restaurant on Wellington.
Hansi of course came bearing gifts of scarves for the ladies. So my main pic is all the lovely ladies wearing their Hansi creations. Gotta love it.
Since it was Doors Open London, we all visited a couple of wonderful Victoria houses on Grand Street in London. The first one was Idlewyld Inn and the second was The Waverley.
