cheapest transportation to Detroit?

Hi,
Does anyone know a cheap way to get from London, ON to Detroit (esp: the airport)? Abouttown is really expensive, the train doesn't cross the border, and greyhound has weird times..

Delta seems to have a dayly direct flight to Detroit, MI
what about to rent a car?
133 miles on I-94 E and ON-402 E
or
120 miles on ON-401 E
hitchhiking could be doable and it would be the cheapest way.

Visit the town center

When we got off the highway onto Wellington Street we saw strip mall after strip mall filled with chain restaurants, most of them American chains that we can find, or should I say avoid, back home. Without any real idea of where we were going, we followed the signs for centre ville/town center and found the lovely downtown area with shops and restaurants and interesting buildings. We didn't really have a long time to spend here as we were headed to Niagara Falls and it was already late in the afternoon but we had a pleasant lunch at Smoke's Poutinere, a snack at the Covent Garden market and a stroll through town.

London Knights

if you happen to be in london during the OHL hoceky season, it's worth while seeing a Knights game. That's if you can manage to get tickets because they do tend to sell out fast. London has a relatively new arena, the John Labatt Centre(JLC) which is conviently located in the heart of downtown. So after the game if you're not broke(beer is pricey there) you can walk to one of the many local bars.
The knights had a fantasic season last year and are still going strong this year. sweater/light coat and lots of money(again, beer is not cheap). Or you could try to sneak in food/drinks.

8 Crews ready to deliver a Mosquito each to Scotland. They all left next morning and arrived safely. ( May 3rd and 4th l945)
A lot of these are civilian crews (in the dark uniforms) some are crews who had finished tours of duty in action in Europe and had been decorated with Distinguished Flying Cross and some also had a bar added for bravery in action. Here they were again risking their lives to deliver these planes to the front lines.
They were Australian, NEW ZEALANDERS,From the U.K., Polish, Free French and Canadian
