Can anyone tell me if it's worth a trip to the Heartland Outlet Mall for some serious shopping? - especially interested in Timberland - thanks, visiting your lovely country for the first time soon!
Lots of stores up in Heartland Outlet Mall, but like any place, you must know what is a deal and what isn't. Know what you would pay elsewhere and then make your decision. This probably doesn't answer your question, and I don't shop at Timberland to help you on that particular store.
The term outlet mall to me is now very far from the original idea of them - used to be that was where you could get incredible deals on merchandise, sometimes items that were seconds (imperfect) or discontinued products. Now, it just means a group of larger stores dedicated to a manufacturer or retailer, sometimes all under one roof, sometimes standalone buildings, with entrance from an exterior frontdoor. You may get a bargain, or you may not.
Heartland Outlet Mall is one of the larger ones of standalone buildings, and some good chain restaurants. Be careful walking in the parking lot - drivers are more intent upon either finding a parking spot or getting in/out of the lot that they don't pay a lot of attention to pedestrians.

Sure it is. There is a large Timberland outlet there as well as a few other nice outlets as well; Club Monaco, Harry Rosen and so on, so you should be able to find some some pretty good prices on nice stuff. Remember though; outlets usually have "last season" items, so if being "up to the minute" doesn't concern you, then be sure to leave plenty of space on your credit card before you arrive.

haha--i live just blocks from there--which is a good and bad thing. There is some great stuff at the outlets--Timberland though I have not been to in awhile but I do remember the store being quite small but with plenty of nice things. . Heartland seems to be growing on a daily basis--you will find lots!

Mississauga is the first city west of Toronto, in fact it is virtually connected to Toronto. As the photo indicates, there are interesting high rise buildings in this area.
I am told that this city never spends more than it takes in and all their ink is in the black. how refreshing!
