In the heart of Clifton Hill

An excellent option to stay, low fares, clean, comfortable, with parking lot and of course very very well located! In the heart of the Clifton Hill, walking distance of everything: falls, shops, restaurants, casino, etc.

Niagara Falls

This hotel is located in the center of Clifton Hill, and was very assessable to all the nightlife, amenities and attractions of Niagara Falls. The room itself was "cheap and cheerful" - very clean and functional. It contained two double beds, a very small bathroom, a television with local channels and a table with a coffee maker. Whilst it did not contain an iron or ironing board, these were delivered within minutes after a call to reception. The hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
We were located at the end of the 900 block of accommodation, which was right behind all the commercial premises on Clifton Hill. The night-time noise was evident but not too bad - the main problem was that all the deliveries to the commercial premises started very early in the morning and the trucks were incredible noisy as was their on and off-loading.
This coupled with a very creaky and vibrating air conditioning unit, made for an unpleasant stay.
I would stay in the hotel again but not at this end of the 900 block.

Unique Quality: Very close to all the nightlife, amenities and attractions of Niagara Falls.

Great rate with high standards!

This is an excellent place to stay especially for the cost, and especially if you have kids coming along for the journey. They always offer a 2 night package that includes a $25 voucher for Kelsey's Restaurant, attached to the hotel, and it includes the best continental breakfast around. The price is very reasonable, and the rooms are in excellent condition. (I am very particular and usually prefer 3 to 4 star rated accommodations). I rate this place an A+ for overall cleanlieness, comfort, location, and price. You simply can't beat it.

Unique Quality: There are poolside rooms (Which is where we always stay). You enter your room, and there is another door on the other side of the room...open it up and WOW.....you've basically got your own little patio area that is right along the pool! Bring your coolers! You will have your very own patio table & chairs to relax and enjoy!

Right By The Niagara Falls

The location was great. It was only 10min walk to the Fall viewing area.
Many family with small childern. Niagara falls are the family trip destination after all.

Clinton Hill is a tourist trap. Gift shops and arcades, etc. during the day, and karaoke bars at night. And, unfortunately, you will experience them from your room, too.

If you want to get a good night sleep, this is not a place for you.

Unique Quality: A pool is sinde the hotel, and a miniture golf is next door.

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average

Great hotel, familly room was very big and had an adjoining room with double bed. Hotel and room were well furnished and clean. Breakfast was buffet style ( muffins, bagels, yogurts etc ) and as much as you eat ( and most of the americans did ). Indoor pool was big with an adjacent jacuzzi. You also have use of the outdoor pool accross the road. It was very well located and a short walk to the falls and very close to the main shops / restaurants. Plenty of car parking which was free.

Great location at reasonable prices

We stayed at the Comfort Inn, Clifton Hill August 22-25 and had a wonderful time. The staff was very courteous and helpful and the pool and whirlpool was great. The continental breakfast was fine. I must admit the rooms were quite small, but unless you're on a romantic weekend away, who cares. We were there with our kids so the location made it all worthwhile. Didn't have to move our car except to go to Marineland. Did hear the Dinosaur roar from the mini golf in our room, though. Definitely worth it for the location and price.

Great hotel for 30th wedding anniversary

We chose this hotel over the more expensive new hotels. Not a mistake. Parking was free, we had a balcony room overlooking the mini golf and the hotel staff was the greatest from the desk people to the maids. We were in the heart of Niagara Falls, within a short walk to the falls and casino.Free shuttle service was provided from one casino to another. The restaurant, Kelsey's, was attached to the hotel and was excellent with seats overlooking Clifton Hill. The food was great and service excellent. Being from NY I did not find the prices high as reported on this site. We went here twice as it was that nice. Visit the other hotels like Embassy Suites and eat at at the Keg there as the view and food are great but stay at the Comfort Inn Clifton Hill ( and if you have kids it's a must) and I don't think you will be disappointed.

Great value, fun atmosphere

by TripAdvisor Member CubsFan58

My husband and I were on a delayed honeymoon (we got married in January) and were doing a driving trip out East. After looking at what seemed like hundreds of Niagara Falls hotels on TripAdvisor, we decided on the Comfort Inn at Clifton Hill based on the positive reviews and the reasonable price. We had no idea what this area was like, and although I had been in Niagara Falls once before, it was in the early 70's...I was sure the area had changed since then (and it had!). Upon our arrival, the desk clerk was very helpful. She let us keep our vehicle out front until the bellman unloaded it for us. He brought in all of our luggage and our cooler and was extremely courteous. He gave us a map and showed us where the attractions were located. The room was clean and comfortable, and although the Clifton Hill area is much like a carnival atmosphere (I liken it to Bourbon Street), it was quiet in our room at night. The pool and whirlpool were very nice and relaxing after a long day of walking around the Falls area. This is a great location if you want to be in the midst of the action; if you want total quiet, perhaps a hotel nearer the Falls (and much more expensive) would be preferable. The parking in this area is limited, so we parked our vehicle and walked everywhere. We stopped in our room to regroup and refresh when we tired of walking. We would stay here again as we had a very nice experience.

Kind Staff

We stayed at the Confort Inn on Friday the 27th of August. When we arrived we were pleased to see that the Inn was in the center of all the action, but provided a large parking lot. Our room was not ready when we arrived because we were early, but the front desk told us to go ahead and put our things in it anyway. They told us we could use all the facilities which included a great indoor swimming pool. The room itself was a good size and was super clean. The complimentary breakfast in the morning had the widest selection of any continental breakfast I've been to and there was an abundance of food. If you have children you might try to reserve a room poolside. These rooms are excellent you can watch your children swim from you room deck. Just a note: I found I was given a cheaper rate when booking the hotel directly than on the internet. There are also surcharges if you book over the net.
