Several family members and I stayed at the Courtyard Niagara Falls June 8th and 9th. The suite was very spacious, clean and reasonably priced (I registered online and got a $169 per night Canadian for the 2-bedroom suite.) The staff was very friendly; a microwave was delivered immediately after request and there was no additional charge.
We felt that, in addition to the hotel, most attractions were not too expensive. Exception is the Denny's Diner across the street. The morning we left on the 10th, our breakfast for 7 people cost $118 Canadian plus tip!
The Falls were magnificent; the little town of Niagara by the Falls is beautiful and worth the 20 minute drive. Clifton Hills is a block or two away from the Courtyard, is very garish but fun
Not a great view, but!!

When we arrived the front desk staff were cheerful and seemed curtious. Our room was a Jacuzzi suite with King size bed. The view was of a brick wall, which was a little disappointing. Do not stay on the fourth floor, because this is where we were. The package included a $45 dinner voucher. Of course the prices of food were out of this world, in the four restaurants offered. $18 for a Chicken Ceasar Salad?? I don't think so!! The breakfast at the Hotel was fabulous. This made up for the expensive dinner. Anyways, over all this was a great 2 days away. Close to all the fun.
Great stay

Hotel is pretty good. Not luxurious, but definitely above average. Very close to Clifton Hills. It is NOT a block to the falls. More like 5 blocks. All in all great price, great location, and definitely above average hotel.
Pleasantly Surprised

Booked two nights (Sat-Sun) via Internet. I found the room rate, as well as most other merchandise in the area, to be a bit pricey but what you might expect to pay in the height of tourist season. Stayed in a Jacuzzi Room. The tub was a good size but the fireplace is atmosphere only. The window view from our 9th floor room was less than spectacular. The room was fairly large with a comfortable bed and a sitting couch. Amenities included coffee pot, hair dryer, ironing board, and an in-room safe. The housecleaning sevrice was very good, cheerful and available. They seemed to enjoy their work - nice for a change. There is a shuttle service available for a limited run including one of the casinos, the falls, and a couple of the hotels. We used the shuttle three times before we were asked to present a shuttle pass which it turns out is about $10 CND per person. I thought that was a bit over ther top considering the room rates. All in all I would stay here again.
It's just okay!!

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott June 18th – 20th in a Jacuzzi suite. We were not overly impressed with the hotel. We purchased a 2-night weekend package, which started off as a good deal but after all of the taxes (3 different taxes – by the way the GST tax is refundable at the duty free shop) & parking fees we were charged an additional $120 Canadian dollars – so the moral of the story is when budgeting for your trip don’t forget to factor in the 3 different taxes you’re charged for the hotel cost, parking fees and yes, parking taxes.
Now on to the room – we were on the fourth floor in a corner room with a lovely view of the parking lot, when we sat on the bed and it instantly caved in, and even though the hotel is fairly new – the furniture looked old. The Courtyard advertises that they are located 1 block from the falls – NOT. It’s about a ½ to ¾ miles away – be prepared for a hike unless you purchase the shuttle pass (it is included in the 2-night package). The shuttle will drop you off & pick you up right at the falls. The experience was not all bad the staff was very courteous, the rooms are spacious, and the food at he restaurant is good. I probably would not stay at the Courtyard on my next visit to Niagara Falls.
Good value for the money

We stayed at the Courtyard June 20 through 22. Our room on 5th floor seemed brand new. Two queen beds, safe, iron, coffee maker. Washer and dryer on site for guest use. Would have liked a little fridge in the room. 3 minute walk to IMAX, 5 minutes to Skylon Tower, about 10 minutes to the top of Clifton Hill. Free coffee in the lobby in the mornings. Daily newspaper delivery. Pleasant staff, good value. $8 CAD to park the car in their lot per day. Denny's across the street for breakfast if not included in your package.
Good value for the money - about $80 USD per night.
GREAT HOTEL

We stayed at the Courtyard from 6/21-6/25 I cannot think of anything bad to say about the Courtyard We arrived late the 1st night the night staff was very friendly and helpful. I had booked through Hotels. I had requested a non smoking room, the only non-smoking room available was a jacuzzi suite which they up-graded us to with no extra charges. The room was large and clean, the jacuzzi was great and even though the fireplace was not real when turned on there were flames and it gives you the feeling that it was real. The Tour staff in Lobby were also very helpful making our arrangements for a tour and also our dinner reservations. As for parking they do charge daily but everything is within walking distance and if you had to take your car from attraction to attraction it would cost alot more than what they charge. The walk to the Falls took us about 20 minutes to Fallsview ave (where Skylon and Minolta towers are) about 20 minutes, to Imax about 10 minutes There is also a shuttle that runs every 20 minutes to these areas and we had free passes from the Courtyard. The only compliant I have is the food in Canada it is awful. The breakfast buffet is good, Tgif's is not bad, Skylon Towers is excellent but quite costly, Minolta towers is terrible and expensive, Denny's is the worse (HASH TASTED LIKE CHOPPED UP RUBBER) Everything seems to be quite expensive but when changed over to american funds it is not bad at all We had a good time. Falls are great, make sure you see them from the towers both during the day and at night when lite up, Maid of the MIST is exciting, Clifton Hill is fun as the Casinos. All of Niagara is great. Have fun We will be back and I will book the Courtyard again
