Great Value and Location
We've stayed here twice, both times only for one night and because we got a great deal. The hotel is located directly across the street from the Fallsview Casino which makes it an extremely convenient location.
The rooms are large, clean and modern and the beds are comfortable.
One thing to be aware of is that the valet parking is $20 a night. For much cheaper you can park across the street in the casino parking lot for $5 a day. We made the mistake of valet parking the first time, but the second time we went back and parked at the casino. Much better!
If you sign up for the hotel newsletter they will email you with deals. You'll always get a better deal if you take a room with a city view. Sometimes they also have deals that include dinner vouchers, which is always great considering how expensive food can be in Niagara Falls.
If you're looking for a decent hotel, in a great location for a good price I would definitely recommend looking into this one!

Quality Hotel Close To Falls
This was a very comfortable hotel with 2 queen beds, a nice modern bathroom and plenty of space within the room. We enjoyed our one night at this hotel, no complaints. We were on a coach tour and room was included in tour price.
Unique Quality: A nice comfortable room with no problems at all. The buffet breakfast was first class.

A great vacation spot
This place has all the goods! A fantastic location for starters. We had a view of Niagara Falls from our suite, and it was lovely. It is a huge bonus when you are able to walk to most destinations (save lots of $$ not taking cabs). The hotel is close to pretty much everything in the area. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was large. Everything was in tip-top shape. Great hotel!

We had a very nice experience at this hotel back in July. The location itself is fantastic. The hotel is close to all the attractions, and is just a short walk from the Falls. We thought the service was great. We travel often, and rarely comment on great service. We have told all of our friends and family though, that here, the service was great! The rooms were very clean, and the bed was the most comfortable bed ever!! The kids loved the pool area too...we used that each morning. I read some negative comments on the hotel, and I just can't understand them. We had a great trip and were 100% satisfied.

Great great great
There aren't enough nice things to say about the Renaissance. It is a really great hotel. My girlfriends and I stayed on a "girls weekend." The service was commendable. All the staff was so nice and quite helpful. The decor is really great. It's the best looking hotel in the Falls. You can't beat the rate either. We tried. We compared with others (that shall remain nameless), and we didn't even get close to the rate we paid here. The location rocks too!

Our family loved it
We booked this hotel for several reasons: location, rate, dining and pool. We were pleased with all of the accommodations. The kids really enjoyed the pool with the waterfall. My husband and I loved the restaurant in the hotel. It is so convenient when there is a good restaurant inside a hotel-and this one is great! The location of the hotel is perfect. It is very close to all areas of the Falls, plus, shopping, dining and casinos. We'll stay again.

Very impressive
If you are planning to stay anywhere else, don't! This hotel is wonderful for so many reasons. First of all, the rate was fantastic. It was at least 25.00 less a night than other hotels we called. When you're traveleing with a large family, 25.00 is a big deal! The hotel was great for kids too. The pool insdie the hotel has a waterfall. The kids loved it. We enjoyed the restaurant too. My husband and I both agreed that the room was the nicest we have ever stayed in. It was very clean, and offered a convenient set up. The location is superb. You are pretty close to all the major attractions...especially the falls!!!! Stop searching for another hotel!

A really great hotel
The Renaissance is a woderful hotel. Our experience was fantastic. We are a family of 5 including 2 teens, and to say everyone had a great time on the vacation is rare!! The staff was so friendly and helpful. They checked us in, and boy, were we impressed with our room and view. Just beautiful!! The location is perfect-right at the falls. They also have a waterfall pool inside the hotel that we all loved. We just thought this hotel was the ebst. We were 100% satisfied.

We were very pleased
We give this hotel a 10 out of 10. The staff was so nice and they were quite helpful. We were visiting from New York, and we didn't know what to see or do, and they really helped us. The hotel is really nice. Everything is up to date and kind of a Manhattan style lobby. The rooms were spacious and clean with great views. The kids enjoyed the waterfall in the pool, and we all enjoyed teh restaurant. It was a great experience.

One fabulous hotel!
We brought the kids for a weekend stay in April. They are little-4 and 6. We all had a blast. We stayed there mainly for location and the amenities. They had a waterfall pool that we knew the kids would love. The staff helped us plan tours and told us what to see and do. They were quite helpful. There are a lot of activities for people of all ages. The hotel is beautiful. It was very clean. We were impressed with that. The room was quite large, and had a great view of the falls. At night we could see the fireworks from our room. That was really neat. The restaurant in the hotel is delicious, and had very reasonable prices. We really loved this place.

general info
firstly we are traveling at the start of march and was wondering if it snow at this time and what sort of temps we could expect at that time? also how would we get from buffalo air port by public transport and how long does it take?we are staying at the renaissance and saw that the people mover is closed during this month as was wondering how we get about town to clifton hill and outlet shop from our hotel without a car?thanks

You are mostly likely going to encounter some snow, but how much is a big question. Niagara Falls area tends to be tempered and does not get all the snow that Buffalo, just down the road gets. You could be faced with no snow, a light ground covering, or a couple of feet! Temperatures too could vary from being deep freeze to +15C - the best thing to do is to keep checking http://theweathernetwork.com

Q4. Could you suggest a means of transportation from the Buffalo International Airport (30 minutes) and Toronto International Airport (90 minutes) to the Renaissance Fallsview Hotel?
A4. Niagara Airbus airport shuttle (surcharge) and 5-0 Airline Limo: both these companies can provide answers to your transportation needs.
If you check out their link, they give you the links to the 2 transportation companies.
As far as going to Clifton Hill - you can walk there in just a few minutes. The outlet plaza you would have to get a taxi, or the hotel could direct you to the local bus, or they may even have a shuttle bus that could take you there. Contact the hotel directly (go to their webpage and email from there) for their recommendation.

Check with your hotel. Many offer casino and falls shuttle servicefor a nominal fee or sometimes free with a package deal. If they have shuttle service to Casino Niagara, there is a short street close to the casino stop that puts you right in the middle of Clifton Hill These casino shuttles run every 30 minutes (more frequent on weekends) from morning to late night. This is your best bet to get to Clifton Hill and the falls area without a car. I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott and the shuttle was free with a package purchase or $9 without and was good for the length of my stay and most major hotels have this service. You have to share a bus with other hotels but paying to park once will cost you at least the price of the shuttle
