Getting Canadian Visa
by WaRPer
For anyone you need a visa to visit Canada...All you need to do is dropping by the Canadian Consulate in Buffalo (Address: 1 HSBC Center Ste 3000, Buffalo, NY 14203-2884). This is as far as I know, the only consulate that can issue same-day visas, while others require at least 2 weeks of application process. Just get your documents ready: Passport, two 3.5x4.5 cm photos, prove of employment or school transcript, US immigration document (if applicable), visa application, and $65 cash or money order -- and you're all set! The great thing is, for a single-entry visa, you are able to have 'unlimited' travels in 'n out between US and Canada via 'land borders' within 6 months of its validity. If you could get to the consulate by 9 a.m., it's likely that you'll get the visa done no later than 11 a.m., or worst case, the following morning.

ciao!!! i stayed at Niagara falls 4 years ago, i stayed on the canadian side, i think it's sufficent to stay there 1 day, because the city isn't so interesting... really i didn't like so much as a city, but the falls are so nice specially with a sunny day, because the colour of the water is wonderful!!! absolutely u have to catch the ship which take u in the middle of the falls, and make sure to cover your-self so well, otherwise u get off completely wet!!!
about the train to New york, i remember the waiting for the train is soooo long, i took a train from canadian side to Toronto, and i waited it 2 hours before the departure, cause the custom's procedure,so i don't know on whatside is better to take it, on the either sie i think u hvae to wait so long cause the custom....

Bruce Trail & Queenston Heights
by 1Canuck
North along the Niagara Parkway is the quiet village of Queenston. Towering over it is Queenston Heights, a historic site once the site of a battle during the War of 1812. This was also the original site of the ancient Niagara Falls, before many thousands of years of erosion to the present location.
From the base of Brock's Monument, there's a look-out where you can see the lower Niagara River winding its way to Lake Ontario. Any time of the day, particularly a summer evening, it is a beautiful site. On a clear day you can see the skyline of Toronto, with its tell-tale CN Tower across the lake.
This is also the starting point of the Bruce Trail, which winds its way for hundreds of kilometres through Southern Ontario along the Niagara Escarpment. If you're not inclined to hike quite that long, then try taking the wooden steps down the escarpment into the quiet village of Queenston. Maybe find the remnants of old Highway 8, now overgrown with weeds and trees where it once led to a suspension bridge, for a rare bottom view of the Queenston-Lewiston bridge and the rapids & the formidable hydro-electric generating stations beyond.

Fallsview Dining
by Kristin050900 about The Watermark
The Watermark is on the 33rd floor of the Niagara Falls Hilton. From just about every seat you have an unobstructed view of both the American and Canadian Horseshoe Falls. It is a very upscale restaurant with impeccable food. The menu mostly consists of Steak and Seafood, with a few salads and a chicken dish. At night it is a very romantic setting and you can't help but get lost in the atmosphere. My favorite dish was the Grilled Breast Chicken with a Forst Mushroom Demi, Garlic Whipped Potatoes and Vegetables. I started my dinner with a ceasar salad which was one of the best I have ever tasted. For dessert I has a Chocolate Fusion, which is white and dark chocolate mousse with a raspberry coulis.
