Niagara River
by OlenaKyiv
The word "Onguiaahra" appears on maps as early as 1641. Both it and the later version "Ongiara" are Indian words generally interpreted as meaning "The Straight", although the romantic "Thunder of Waters" is sometimes given. By the time the first white man arrived at the Falls, the name in general use was "Niagara"
Comfy shoes, lotsa cash, and BYOB

Comfortable walking shoes are key. It's a vast area if you plant to cover it by foot. There is a reason Clifton Hill is called Clifton HILL The usual items will suffice. Rain poncho for seeing the Falls up close You should bring your own beer with you if you want some for the room. Canadian customs allow you to bring in 24 cans of beer across the border. The Beer Store will gladly sell you a case for $36 if you forget.
View of the Falls

This is located above The Watermark restaurant at The Niagara Falls Hilton. It was a nice place to get a drink and gaze out over the falls at night. Not really. But mostly everyone was dressed up nice, not a lot of jeans and sneakers, but it would be okay if you did wear them.
Great Breakfast!!!
by Triviara about Flying Saucer Drive-In, The
After staying close to the tourist area to eat, and paying ridiculous amounts of money for not so great food, we decided to venture (by car) down Lundy's Lane. After reading the review of the Flying Saucer before we left for our trip, we knew it was recommended by most. And now we know why! Excellent food, great portions, great prices! You can pay 15 bucks for an omelette near Clifton Hill, or you can take 10 minutes, drive to the Flying Saucer and get an awesome breakfast for under $6. Very busy place, I suggest going around 9:30...when we left around 10:30 the place was lined up out the door. My husband ordered the E.T. special...he highly recommends it...tons of food. My son ordered the .99 cent special and it was plenty for him (no meat included..just eggs, toast and homefries) Think twice about ordering large drinks, cups are HUGE...my son drank waaaaaaaay too much chocolate milk. The platters that the food is served on are extra large as well.
The mini walk of fame: Planet Hollywood
by AlexeRoy about Planet Hollywood
We did not eat there because the menu is not fantastic and the food is very expensive. But we went in anyways. Great decorations, great music, great seating and much more. Love the atmosphere around the restaurant outside: car, celebrety stars and more. It was worth the visit. Not applicable
