Niagara's wineries
by Jefie
It is well known that the climate of the Niagara peninsula allows the production of some of the country's best wines. There are about twenty wineries located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, including some of the most renowned Canadian wineries (Jackson-Triggs, Inniskillin, Peller, Hillebrand...). All wineries offer tours and tastings - tastings are usually free of charge when you buy a bottle.
Niagara-on-the-Lake
by saccharinicity
I wasn't aware that such a town could exist in this messed-up world. Niagara-on-the-Lake was such a sweet, perfect, pretty town, I think I actually left with a cavity.
We spent a bit of a gorgeous afternoon stolling along the sidewalks which were surrounded by vibrant, smiling flowers. We giggled with delight at all the wonderful treats in the chocolate shop window and ran in like little tots to delight in some of our own. We skipped along with the children in their bonnets with bright, satiny ribbons trailing behind. The red, yellow and green of normal streetlights were replaced with shimmering rainbows and the horses danced a jig for the visitors...
I'd say 5 minutes in I was missing the dirty, back alley of anycity, USA.
I started to get a bit freaked out to be honest.
