SAINT ANDREW'S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

Located at Simcoe at Gage Street is SAINT ANDREW'S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. Sunday Services is at 11:00 a.m.
I will quote from the plaque located in front of the church, which tells a little bit about its history. "Presbyterians formed a congregation at Niagara in 1794 with John Dun as resident minister. Within a year they had built a church and by 1802 a schoolhouse. American troops burned the church during the War of 1812 claiming that British soldiers had used the steeple as an observation post. The congregation held services in the schoolhouse until 1831 when under the leadership of the Reverend Robert McGill they built the church. Restored but little altered, St. Andrew's is a splendid example of Greek Revival architecture. The Church interior, classically Georgian in design, retains the original high pulpit and box pews."
Whirlpool Jetboat Rides

If you are the adventure type you will not want to miss out on this one. You can take a JetBoat Ride to the whirlpool on the Niagara River. They have 2 types of boats, covered and uncoverd, the uncovered you WILL get soaked, we prefer to stay dry! So go down to the river around King St. and check it out, but be forwarned the lines are LONG and around the building, so get ther early.

The main road leading away from Niagara-on-the-Lake heading towards Niagara Falls is the Niagara River Parkway. Whether you plan on visiting the Falls, or are just looking for more pretty scenery, be sure to put this on your itinerary. The Parkway isn’t very long, and you can make it to the Falls in about 20 minutes, but it’s not the destination, it’s the journey, right?
The Parkway weaves and winds, paralleling the mighty Niagara River. Through various breaks in the trees and lookout spots where you can park your car, you can view the river, and across to New York State. Along the way you’ll see Brock’s Monument and historic Fort George, as well as many large homes and vineyards, all shaded under centuries old trees.
It’s a beautiful drive.

Niagara-on-the-Lake has often been called the loveliest town in Ontario and one visit to this charming Victorian town will convince you that it is indeed the perfect place to go for a quiet - and romantic - getaway.
The two biggest attractions in NotL are of course the Shaw Festival and the wineries, but visitors will quickly discover that there are lots of different things to do around town. And of course, it is only a short drive away from Niagara Falls!

A: "Well, NOTL is on the shore of Lake Ontario and faces North, so I don't think that will do you much good. The Canadian side of the Falls faces East and there are some..."
