Oakville Ontario
"Oakville Ontario - I live here!"
I've lived in Oakville for 6 years now - it's a beautiful city with beautiful people.
Oakville is a city on the water - it sits on the North shore of Lake Ontario between Toronto and Hamilton. Unlike it's neighbours, however, Oakville remains a quiet "Town" (even at a cool 145,000 people), and is renowned for it's atmosphere, historic buildings and fine dining.
Oakville is the wealthiest suburb of Toronto with an AVG. Income of $89,900 citywide, and it also host's the annual Bell Canadian Open @ the world renouned Glen Abbey Golf & Country Club.
With a centralized GO Station, most of Oakville's Upper Class citizen's commute to Toronto.
Oakville is part of the Region of Halton (if you're from the USA, a region is similar to a county), which also includes it's neighbours of Milton, Burlington and Halton Hills.
Oakville is also one of the safest communities in Canada, with one of the lowest crime rates in North America.
There are many parks and trails - Oakville is also home to Bronte Creek Provincial Park - a Nature Reserve where you can find gorgeous scenery and outdoor education year-round.
If you're planning a visit to Toronto, you have to stop in for a visit.
