I used 2 live here, too for a month in the summer 2000.
People seemed very polite and just like anywhere in the Canada or US (Redneck town not included). I enjoyed my stay in a real Canadian family. Greetings to the Thompson family if you read this. I don?t remember really anything special in Oshawa beside the home of former head cheaf of The General Motors. One of the movies from Adam Sandler was actually shot in this place and the "place" is HUGE WITH A HUUUUUUUUUUGE POOL IN THE AREA which is BIG ENOUGH for driving a jetski in it LIKE THEY DO IN THIS MOVIE!!! Oshawa is very ideal and nice place to visit in you drive outside the Toronto.
