Best Western Victoria Park Suites
I've stayed here for business trip on two separate occasions, the most recent being in February, 2009. It's a great hotel, the staff is friendly, the rooms are spotless, and the nights are quiet.
There's a breakfast that is included in the price. There's a pretty good selection of things to eat: cold cereal, instant oatmeal, fruit cocktail, apples, bread to make toast, bagels, muffins, juice, milk, tea and coffee.
Unique Quality: No pool, but there is an exercise room. The hotel is a short walk from many great restaurants in the area.
The room has a bar fridge, and basic kitchen supplies in the event you want to make your own lunches. There's also a microwave oven, and a coffee maker.

Great for Romantic Getaway
Great friendly staff, convenient access to Queensway, handy free business centre off lobby and excellent continental breakfast. Good value & surprisingly upscale. We enjoyed a very nice romantic getaway package - great for our escape from the kids! One note a previous comment has the website listed incorrectly - it is www.victoriapark.com. Photos look like the suites - it was what I expected. Highly reccommend the place.
Unique Quality: Courtyard off back lobby with nice iron patio furniture.

Comfy at the edge of the downtown core
Safe parking downstairs, friendly staff, quite comfortable rooms, included breakfast - so much to keep guests comfy and happy. PLUS, a nice big bathtub with loads of hot water.
Unique Quality: Just up and around the street on Elgin Street is a myriad of restaurants, pubs, clubs, shops, boutiques, and a little further and you end up at either the war memorial, the canal or the parliament. Very, very good placement.

Centrally located
It's been a couple of years since I was at the Victoria Suites last, but am planning to return this summer. I've found that it is, for my needs, anyway, centrally located. Easily accessed off the 417/Queensway, not too far from downtown, near the bus station, handy to the canal, walking distance to some friendly restaurants. I like having the fridge & stove available so that I don't have to eat restaurant food all the time (I can "nuke" frozen dinners instead!). I like their continental breakfasts offered with the room.
Unique Quality: I would warn people from the rooms near the flags... that clanking with the wind on the pullys and ropes is rather annoying .
