Algonquin Hostel: A good place to stay for budget travellers
Driving from Sudbury, we spent a night in this hostel.
It is a pretty big hostel for a small town such as S-S-M: three floors if I remember well. The staff was very friendly and even gave us a private room (on the top floors) for the price of a dorm bed because there was a party that night and it might've kept us from sleeping.
The room was ok for a hostel - two beds and a small washroom. It was hilarious to see the mirror in the washroom hung almost 6 feet up from the floor... Being 5 foot-tall, I had an amazing time putting in my lenses in the morning!
They have a parking.
The only thing this hostel is lacking is a common kitchen, which we were expecting to find in every hostel. We ended up cooking our Sidekicks pasta on this camping thingy we'd brought along just in case!
