Everywhere is off the beaten path

If you like snow and ice you can go ice fishing on one of the many lakes in the area. Of course you can only do this in the winter which is from August to June. Just kidding ... ice fishing can be done around January to March just to be safe. Of course you need an ice fishing pole. Im pretty sure these are cheap. I'm not sure of where you can rent one.

"Nickel City"
I visited Sudbury on a field trip toward my degree in geology. Sudbury is an industrial city, leading the world in nickel production. From a distance, one can see the smoke from "big nipple" and the huge piles of slag.

Here's a picture of the house I owned at 407 York Street in Sudbury. This was the last night I was there before moving back to Vancouver.
All the junk you see out front was what several friends and I removed in the days previous.
If you look carefully you'll see a matress folded in half. My buddy, Mike W., and I had to cut it in half in order to get it out of the house. Strange that what goes in, doesn't come out, right? Yes, unless you do home renovations AFTER you've moved your furniture in! :-)
