Toronto weather
by fairy_dust
In fall and spring, the weather is cold but not too cold (around 0 celcius), dry, and there isn't much snow. If you're not used to cold weather, definitely bring warm clothes (winter coat, sweater, boots, etc). In summer, it can go from warm to extremely hot. Sometimes there are heat waves and the temperature goes over 30 Celsius.
Visit High Park, both the park...

Visit High Park, both the park itself and the neighborhood. Nicest city park I have seen. Civil crowd, wonderful views especially of the water and gardens. Eastern half is primitive with good trails. Very accessible through subway system. Makes you believe that the UN is mislocated in NY. Architecture in residential communities. Everywhere. And especially the neatest little residential shopping district I've seen - in Forest Hill Village.

These columns are wonderful!
We had to go into the museum because of water problems ;) and when we passed this large window from where we looked straight on the woodpeckers, we had to take some photographs through the window. Haha I am pleased the photographs aren t that bad at all!

10%+ tips to be expected.
by jon_and_may
Whenever you sit down to dine, you'd expect to tip at least 10% or more. For most places 10% - 13% is enough. 15% if you're feeling generous. 20% for classier restaurants.
Don't feel pressured to give really big tips (you're a tourist afterall!), and only give a generous tip when the service is exceptional.
