The Park Plaza at Toronto Airport has been refurbished and renamed the Crowne Plaza. Not a good base for downtown Toronto - that is a good 40 min bus and metro ride away but its only a 10 minute walk from our conference centre. We stayed here for 8 nights in January 2008 for a conference. The hotel also has a good restaurany - we enjoyed 25% off prices with our conference deal
Rooms are a decent size with two beds with 5 yes 5 pillows (the comfiest bed I've ever slept in), modern decor and bathroom. Flatsscreen TV on the wall and complimentary wireless connection - so bring your laptop! Continental breakfast was included in our discounted room rate (discounted for conference delegates) was OKl (coffee, juice and pastries) but can upgrade for 6 dollars extra for the full hot and cold buffet breakfast. We also had a complimentary pick up from the hotel - normally 6 dollars each way.
Oh if you are a plane spotter then this is the place for you - watch out for the planes coming right over the roof of the hotel! We had a room on the 6th floor and from the window we could see the planes going into land on the edge of the runway but noise wasn't intrusive.
