Delta Toronto East

My opinion may be biased as we arrived here after a completely disastrous attempt to stay at another hotel.

The front desk staff were very pleasant and professional even though they were being crushed with a mass of people all attempting to check in at the same time. The Delta is new and clean, with comfortable beds and a nice indoor pool and an excellent water slide, jacuzzi, saunas, game room, and a nice exercise room. Breakfast was good, although it could've used a little more variation.

The only problem we had was that we were given a quote based on walking in off the street, even though the hotel is an official sponsor of the Toronto Zoo and had special packages available (I had asked about discount tickets to the zoo when checking in). However, when my wife asked about it, they provided us with the package which provided us with a $20/night discount on the room with free tickets to the Zoo and breakfast.

The location is a ways out of town, but there is ample shopping and restaurants in the surrounding areas. Very nice hotel for the price.

Quite surprised that there is a parking fee for this hotel.

Unique Quality: Giant slidea, great swimming area. With sauna & hot tubs. Large excercise room, has squash courts.

Kids club (weekends) provides activities to entertain children. They include Arts & Crafts, Cookie Time, Creative Time & Movie Time.

Parking fee: $8.00 overnight, $12.00 valet
