Where to live in Mississauga
by saracen2010
Hi If you're talking about Mississauga, for one person you can get a room for $400 to $800., and for an apartment.,2 bedroom, its between $1000 to $2000, alot depends on location. East Mississauga is relatively cheaper because its not as nice as West Mississauga,. and North Mississauga theres alot of new houses and apartments being built, so its mostly new stuff there.
Hope this helps, if you're looking for recent ads for places, check out craigs list, it has alot.
Thursday nights are my...

Thursday nights are my favorite dancing nights in T.O.
If you're want a free meal before you head out dancing you must head to Easy and the Fifth before 8pm on a Thursday night - grab something from the buffet and stay for drinks and dancing if you like chart pop and dance music. (but I think they have a no jeans or runners code - something like that) Oh and just a few weeks ago I saw Jeff Goldblum and a few other stars coming out of there!
If you want something a little different try Velvet Underground but don't head over until after 11pm! Canoeing around the Toronto islands with a cute 19 year old! Ahhhhh!
Toronto.com

Toronto.com is the best website if you're looking for information about the city. It lists hundreds of thousands of restaurants, bars, clubs, etc... It shows customer reviews, and has patio guides and dinning guides. Also great to check movie times and review. Even though I live in Toronto, and know the city pretty well, I'm always on this website for the latest news. Also, it has an events Calendar!
Take to the MARKET - Toronto...
by james_sinton
Take to the MARKET - Toronto is home to (at least) two fabulous markets. They are both quite different however. The ST LAWRENCE MARKET, at Front and Jarvis, anchors the original downtown Toronto neighbourhood. It's filled with meat, fish, deli, and cheese vendors among many others (sandwiches, vegetables). The ethnic mix of Torontonians making their weekly purchases is quite astounding. Check it out on a weekday lunch hour or better, on Saturday (close on Sunday/Monday). Take the subway to KING and walk 3 blocks east to Jarvis and one block south to Front. Or take the 504 KING Streetcar to Jarvis. Check out the buildings on King and Front too.
Labour Day Shopping
by jburron
Unreal...Sunday shopping was a big deal here over 10 years ago (it was against the law, except for pharmacies) but the idea lives on. (Almost) nothing was open this past Labour Day...even the 24-hour Dominion store! (Apparently, some 24-hours are shorter than others.)
The (irreverent and neo-capitalist) Korean stores, true to their stripes, were open, however, providing a needed respite from trying to open locked doors all over town.
