what is/are the name of the hotel connected to Pearson Intern'l Airport

by dawnparon

Is there more than one hotel that is connected to the Toronto Airport?

I don't know of any hotel "connected to Toronto Airport". When we fly out of Pearson, we always stay at one of the many Hotels on Dixon Road that offer shuttles to and from the airport included in the hotel package. Actually we are doing that in three weeks. We got a hotel/two weeks parking/shuttle package for $139.00 CDN

It's the Sheraton Gateway Hotel and it's at Terminal 3.

It's the Sheraton. Walk out the doors from terminal three and it is right across the street. Decent place to stay with restaurant, bar, lots of places to plug in.

Visit the Zoo! It is one of the nicest zoos I have ever seen. There are very few cages and the animals are put in a nice habitat. It is divided into different regions of the world , for example, Africa, North America etc. if you like zoos, this one is must see! There are soooo many different animals, even Komodo dragons. Once when I visited there, they even had some Panda Bears! For more pictures of the zoo, Please visit my travelogue.

Hockey Night in Canada

by Arial_27

Hockey is Canada's national sport. The National Hockey League (NHL) consists of teams from Canada and the US, with players from all around the world. The majority of its players however are Canadian!

A few interesting hockey facts about Canada:

* hockey originated in Canada in the late 1800s. The first official hockey game was held at McGill University in Montreal, in 1901.
* Tim Hortons, the most popular Canadian chain restaurant is named after hockey player Tim Horton who died in 1974.
* The Stanley Cup (the price for winning the NHL championship each year) is named after Lord Stanley, the Governer General of Canada from 1888-1893. His sons were hockey players in Canada and he was the first to present the Stanley Cup.

Toronto's hockey team is the Toronto Maple Leafs and they are very popular here, although many people will express disapointment on how seldomly they win or make the championships. The only other Ontarian hockey team in the NHL is the Ottawa Senators. It's common to see things like "GO LEAFS GO" written on people's windows or on their driveways with chalk in Toronto.

by Jillworld

I had no idea that Niagra falls would be soooooo touristy and commercial. It was a mess of souvenir shops, amusement park-type rides, casinos, hotels, and chain restaurants. It was entertaining enough for the afternoon that my brother and I spent there - we had a tasty lunch at The Hard Rock Cafe, but this really isn't my cup of tea.

Hockey

by Huncher2

Of course hockey is a huge sport in Canada, with the Hockey Hall of Fame be in Toronto. Which really doesn't make sense to me since hockey was invented in the US, but don't tell a Canadian this or they want to fight! *LOL* Needless to say, the wild and drunk hockey fans are fun to be around during the playoffs....
