I hear that Toronto is a very popular place for the big Hollywood studios to shoot movies in because of lower costs and because it kinda looks like new york?! Just wondering if anyone knows of any films being shot on location at the moment in or around the city? Friend of mine is visiting the city for a few days and would like to find out if anything of the sort was going on at the moment, and where, so she can do some snooping around!
p.s. what do you call someone from Toronto? Not a riddle, but a genuine question...
Ok to all you Easterners I will be nice. They are called Torontonians.
The film festival ended on saturday so the stars have left. The shoots would be everywhere. Best ask the doormen at the Four Seasons or The Windsor Arms
she just missed the Toronto film festival
considered o be amongst the top 4 in the world along side Cannes, Venice, Berlin and Sundance
But there must be a ton of stuff being filmed at the moment - not easy to just go and snoop around -
Funny you should ask that question. . .there was a flyer in my mailbox today about the filming of "Resident Evil: Apocalypse." Excuse my laughter. . . :-)
The Ernst & Yonge Tower (222 Bay St.) of the TD Buildings is going to be the location of filming over the next four days. The flyer serves as a warning of sorts, because there will be helicopters and simulated shooting.
Milla Jovovich stars as (to quote the flyer) "Alice. . .caught in the middle of a secret corporate experiment in the fictitious 'Raccoon City.'"
If she checks out the area from Bay to Parliament along Front, she's likely to stumble on something. . .it seems like there's always filming. . .
Hi there - here's an URL that lists all tv/film production currently being shot in Toronto.
We're Torontonians! And dang proud of it!
Oh Dave, you lied to the originator of this thread. Everyone outside of Toronto refers to everyone in Toronto as . . .
Memory block, memory block! And whatever that might be, it certainly wouldn't apply to the nice Toronto ladies in this thread! :-))))
Thanks Torontonians!! You're the best...!
The Distillery District is a frequent spot for shooting movies. It's not too far from the downtown core.
