Mining Memorial
This shiny red drill commemorates the many significant mines that have operated in and near Wawa over the last century. (There's still excavating for small quantities of gold in the outlying district.)

looking for that pot of gold?
past and present
looking downstream
this, that, and the other
Does anyone have any comments at all on Rock Island Lodge? Thinking of possibly staying there and would really like to know if anyone ever has! Help please!
Thanks!
You won't get much in the way of answers without filling in your home page... hundreds (literally) of people come in here, ask their question and then never bother to come back for the answers, so if there's nothing on your home page, nothing is what you get back most of the time.
Fill in your info, and ask again..... you'll probably bet answers.
YOU MAY NEED TO TAKE A FEW TRIPS. OR PERHAPS A QUIET TIME ABOUT HOW OTHERS REACT TO YOU MAY HELP. BEST WISHES.

I thought I was helping, sory if I offended. It was a good question, and you really do deserve good answers. And here there are lots of good answers being offered.

I stopped in Wawa on my way back home. It was a good place to stop. The town has a few hotels quite close to each other. I only stayed one night, because I was just trying to get back home....It was a pretty rough road trip.... But, I liked Wawa as a place to stop.
