We chose to stay at the Auberge Madeli because they offered an employee discount, but with or without a discount, I would consider staying there again in the future. The location, at the heart of the small town of Cap-aux-Meules, is great since there are many restaurants and services nearby. The rooms themselves are perhaps not the most exciting (nor is the view) but they are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful, there's a computer with free Internet access in the lobby (as well as free wi-fi in the rooms), and a small souvenir shop that actually sells some great local arts and crafts. There's also a restaurant right next to the hotel, but we were told it wasn't necessarily the best place to eat in Cap-aux-Meules so we didn't try it. To be honest, there are other inns and B&Bs on les Iles-de-la-Madeleine that have more personality than this place, but for people looking for a convenient and not too expensive place to stay - because let's face it, you won't be spending much time in your room anyway - then Auberge Madeli is a very good option.
