Warning to pet-accompanied travellers
Booked a room at Comfort Inn as part of a journey with 2 small pets. They had specifically advertised as 'pet-friendly' and 'non-smoking'.
The first part is correct; the second part is completely false. There was constant smell of tobacco smoke.
When confronted, they admitted that no pets were allowed into any non-smoking room. They justified this because "people are alergic to pets, and besides, smokers don't worry about air quality, so pet smells won't bother them."
In essence, they were confessing that the non-smoking, pet-friendly room they'd sold me did not exist. Any claim that they are booking you into a smoke-free wing or any smoke-free room, is false.
The staff also claimed that all other hotels followed the same policy, so beware.
Finally, I took a stroll through this entire, rambling (and shabby) motel, from one end to the other. There wasn't a single wing of the hotel where the smell of tobacco did not linger-- but ther were no-smoking signs on each and every door. So it's possible that the entire structure is filled with tobacco smoke.

Stay at your own risk
Had $5-6000.00 worth of stuff stolen from my truck on the first night. Staff admitted I was the 4th break-in that week. Hotel took no responsibility even though the parking lot lighting was burnt out for some time making the security cameras useless.
